Ocean Drifters

The Ocean Drifters Gallery is a changing exhibit that displays jellyfish, or sea jellies,
found locally and abroad. At any time you may find moon, Atlantic sea nettles, lagoon, blue blubbers,
or other species. You can see these beautiful animals gracefully pulsate and swim through the exhibits. Continued research on the challenging husbandry and maintenance of these delicate drifters is an ongoing effort here at the Waikiki Aquarium.

Although not on display here at the Waikiki Aquarium, the box jelly is well known in Hawaii for its monthly invasion of our beaches. Check out our Box Jelly Calendar for a list of potential invasion dates.
